The Billiton–Jerusalem Project is a strategic academic and heritage engagement initiative aimed at exploring the historical, intellectual, institutional, and geopolitical dimensions of Jerusalem through direct visits to selected universities, research institutions, and significant cultural heritage sites. The initiative seeks to examine how historical consciousness, knowledge production, cultural preservation, and institutional resilience shape the continuity of societies operating within complex geopolitical environments. Through academic exchanges and comparative field observations, the project aims to generate strategic insights relevant to Belitong’s future, particularly in strengthening educational institutions, safeguarding cultural identity, enhancing heritage governance, and developing long-term regional resilience. Jerusalem serves as a comparative learning environment through which Belitong can reflect on the relationship between civilisation, territorial identity, institutional capacity, and strategic preparedness.
